¡Hola!
I’m Laura Garcia, a designer based in New York City and originally from Bogotá, Colombia. I have a B.F.A. (Hons) in Art and Graphic Design from Southeast Missouri State University, and I then worked in advertising. More recently, I gained an M.S. (Hons) in Communications Design from the Pratt Institute, and I now work at Maison LBB, where my designs can be seen across accounts, including M·A·C Cosmetics & Clinique.
My broad and varied design interests include illustration, motion graphics, film, photography, interactive design, speculative design UX/UI, branding, human center design, packaging, and product design. I believe in the importance of the iterative hand-sketching process and enjoy experimenting with different media and techniques in each one of my works to create unique and playful pieces that are conceptual, relevant, and entertaining.
When I am not designing, I can be found playing tennis or traveling around Colombia and the world.
